Two mummies have been unearthed in Egypt ’s Valley of the king , the cemetery holding the tomb ofKing Tutand other Egyptian royalty .
In addition to the momma , archeologist also unearthed several workshops , which reveal in great item the lives of the workers who built the imperial complex . The finds were announced Thursday ( Oct. 10 ) at a news program league .
The archaeologists excavated several areas across both the east and west sections of the Valley of the Kings.

Nearby , archaeologists found the remains of anatomical structure used to bake boodle , make pottery and store water . They also regain two rings , one of which is inscribe with the name of Amenhotep III , a pharaoh whose tomb is located in the western vale , and another ring that may have been used for a queen . Hawass said he hopes to rule undiscovered grave of the family members ofAmenhotep III , King Tut ’s grandfather , in future field of study seasons .
More discoveries
In the eastern portion of the Valley of the Kings , the squad find out 10 inscription written on ostraca ( piece of clayware ) near the tomb ofRamesses III(who reigned between 1184 B.C. and 1153 B.C. ) . While translation study is in progress , archaeologist can already differentiate that at least one of the lettering " is talking about the workingman who in reality came to work at this land site , " Hawass said .
Near the grave of Ramesses VII ( who ruled from 1136 B.C. to 1129 B.C. ) , archaeologists also found the remains of 40 small hut , dating back around 3,300 years , that were essentially storage shed used for the tools , the working man used to build the tombs , Hawass said .
More find were made near the grave of Hatshepsut , a female pharaoh , and include the remains of two female mummies , as well as several shabti statuette , Hawass say . Ancient Egyptianscommonly bury shabtis , a character of figurine that depend like a human , with ma conceive that they assisted the departed in the afterlife . Who these two female mummies were is not certain .

These discoveries will aid archaeologists to teach more about the workers who built the tombs , Hawass said . And the discovery of Modern royal tombs may still be coming , they said .
" We desire that one day we can find [ unexplored ] royal or secret tomb " in thevalley , Khaled al - Anani , Egypt ’s ancientness minister , aver at the news program conference . " The excavation is [ expected ] to take more years . "
