In tardy 2009 , two unfearing bloggers visited a museum of Soviet arcade games outside of Moscow . What did they find ? A subterraneous den of gaming classics from behind the Iron Curtain .
Anjel Van Slyke and Connal Hughes stopped by the museum in December 2009 . Here ’s an selection from their curious journey to visit the not - so - easily accessible playplace :
To be good , we really were n’t certain what to expect . The museum seemed amazing , but the small mark was a picayune unusual : It was only undefendable 2 or 3 day a week , and not until 7:30 at night . The articles I ’d understand never bring up anyone else being in the museum , so we wondered if the reporters had arrange individual tours or we were about to visit a guy sitting by himself in a cellar . Regardless , we figure that whatever happened it would be an amusing adventure .

It was only about a 5 minute walking from the underground to the schooling , a brick construction on the corner that did n’t seem much different from the flat that surround it . There were a few uneven steps moderate up to a metal door where a small , lightless sign name it , in Cyrillic , as the Moscow State Technical University . We walked through the door and found ourselves in a small entrance hall facing a precaution posture behind a desk a few feet away . Just to the right wing of the guard was a flying of stairs head up down . Not speaking any Russian , we motion to the basement and said “ Here to see the museum ? ”
