It ’s about a haunted bookstore that releases fancied characters into the kids ’ neighborhood , and they have to work with Ghostwriter to put them back . So basically , it’sNight at the Museum . Or the quaternary season ofLegends of Tomorrow , when they were finding mythological creatures from stories and legend — only without the time travel or sci - fi erotica ( hopefully ) . Ghostwriter , a reinvention of the beloved original serial publication , follows four kids who are brought together by a mysterious shade in a neighborhood bookshop , and must team up up to release fancied characters from works of literature .
