The 0.63 - inch tenuous Archos 9 feel pretty sturdy , but one major complaint is that it feel heavy . Archos say it only weighs 1.2 pounds , but something about the balance is wrong , because it felt gruelling than that in my deal . The hardware is pretty simple — a 9 - inch resistive touchscreen ( no multitouch ) with a few palisade physical release .
There is a Ctrl+Alt+Delete clitoris and a keyboard gun trigger on the right , the latter which rapidly launches Win 7 ’s finger - friendly keyboard . ( Archos will also commercialize a USB keyboard along with a guinea pig . ) If you do n’t like using your finger on the screen , there is a tiny ocular trackpad on the right and two mouse buttons on the odd side . The touch screen is moderately reactive , and there is a stylus on the back , so I do n’t see the motive to really reach for the bitty mouse . I ’ve always found optical trackpad annoying as inferno .
The Archos 9 amount with Windows 7 Starter ( remember that meansno wallpaper deepen or Aero ) and its 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z515 central processor and 1 GB of RAM run it well . Watching a 720p Windows Media clip was decorous , and when I give the axe up Wi - Fi and launched a web browser app , I was able-bodied to follow some streaming Hulu videos .

It only has 60 GB of storage blank , which could get cramped if you plan on keeping load of video on it but does n’t seem like a deal breakers to me . My biggest concern is bombardment life .
