Director J.J. Abrams contrasts Benedict Cumberbatch ’s scoundrel John Harrison with the previous movie ’s bad guy wire , Eric Bana ’s genocidal Romulan Nero :
“ [ Nero ] was just a raging , revengeful lunatic . All he wanted to do was ruin Vulcan , Earth and the Federation … He had backstory but was kind of irrational . The beauty of Benedict ’s [ John Harrison ] is that he ’s completely rational . He ’s someone that you could have conversations with . You could n’t sit down and talk to Nero – he ’d bite your head off ! ”
Cumberbatch himself add :

“ I did a spate of confining combat training . He ’s a flush - ass warrior , as masterful with his hands and eubstance as he is with weapons … You will have a gravid discovery during this movie . ”

Producer Bryan Burk talk about the use of IMAX and three-D in the film :

They ’re both challenging . IMAX is a wondrous data formatting in the sense that it ’s such a mad - clear mental image . So few films have photograph with it . Chris Nolan did it for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight rise . We did it for Mission : out of the question – Ghost Protocol and I believe one of the Transformers had constituent in IMAX . There ’s a reason so few motion-picture show snap like this , the cameras are big , quondam and bulky . They ’re flash … 3D is just an interesting format , you realize the limitations of shoot with 3D cameras , you realize the laborious procedure it takes to finish the film . Particularly if you do n’t want to just slap on 3D in post and really make it an experience . It takes a tremendous amount of men and corking artists .
It sound like you ’re being quite challenging and aggressive with the use of 3D?“Well , Avatar was a different thing because that was a whole world being created . What we want is if we ’re go to do 3D , we want the clobber to leap off the screen and push further . We need citizenry to leave and say , ‘ Well , I got my money ’s deserving . ’ This film is a rollercoaster so we ’re really trying to push the limits . ”
He also suggests there will be plenty of citation to the original serial publication for longtime fans :

“ Yes , one of the things is that the motion picture will always be for Star Trek fans . In the physical process of all us five producers working together , Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof , to a slightly lesser extent , are crazy - hardcore Trekkies . They understand the world so we had long conversation where they put things in and would be laughing hysterically . I had no clue why they were ! There are MT of references and nods . ”

Bryan Burk also offers a brief update on J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot ’s other vast movie project :

“ We ’re very new to the process . We ’ve only been on the motion-picture show a few week . The handwriting we ’re still working on with the writer and Kathleen Kennedy , who ’s a wizardry . It ’s hard for me to comment on anything . We ’re still figuring thing out . ”
In preview Guy Pearce ’s role as Aldrich Killian and Rebecca Hall ’s purpose as Maya Hansen , writer - music director Shane Black pinch at how each might challenge Tony Stark ’s relationship with Pepper Potts :
“ We come near [ Pearce ] to play one of our villains , and he ’s implausibly ominous as this guy who is devilishly jealous of Tony Stark . He wants to own everything Tony has , let in his miss … Rebecca is a gifted , funny and beautiful actress . We needed someone who could be believable in the role of a scientist , who ’s a little in bitchiness of herself , and has a lot of charm . She was perfect . Maya Hansen is an old booster of Tony Stark from the past that resurfaces . This is not rigorously a competitor for Pepper Potts , but she has a tangible hamper with Tony that goes right smart back . ”

history star Dane DeHaan , who plays Harry Osborn in Marc Webb ’s next Spider - Man movie , offers some kudos for the sequel ’s screenplay :
“ It ’s awesome . It really is . It ’s human and it ’s mystifying and it ’s also epical and still a huge superhero movie . But it all makes gumption and it all number from very human elements and I consider mass are really going to sleep with it . ”

Star Martin Freeman enjoin he still has to take unexampled shot , either for this next entry or for the ( presumptively ) final film , The Hobbit : There and Back Again . believe the final picture show just had its press release particular date pushed back , it ’s perhaps more probable the all-inclusive reshoots are for that film , but Freeman does n’t delimit — though he does reveal he does n’t even have the script yet for these new scenes :
“ I am going back at the end of May for all of June and July . I suppose the thing is , this is not finished . We literally have to go and finish it . It ’s not a new adventure like on a television show . It ’s the same story . It ’s the same gig I begin in January 2011 . I think it ’ll be really fun because the crew is quite close and the casting are close and we like mould on it . I ’m forestall it … You just step yourself , you do learn to take your time and converge energy . I do n’t think it feels like new demands , but then again , I have n’t seen a shooting hand yet , so they might have me walking through fire ! ”

Reboot director Fede Alvarez says he has plan for a continuation , though he ’s not yet sign on to make the film :
I think it ’s going to count on where we take it . right on now , we just got to pen it . For me , it ’s if we manage to agree , but we ’re just start to build a narration and calculate out what kind of movie it ’s going to be , and it depend on what it is . It bet on the story we find , because personally , I think it has to shock everybody . It has to go to a different billet just like Army of Darkness did with Evil Dead 2 . It has to do that swop that every Evil Dead movie did with the previous one … .

The new one — the next one — is going to be a whole new , wise , 100 % original , you bet . Because this one has so many draw to the first one that at the end of the Clarence Shepard Day Jr. , being what it is , it ’s like a sound of the original movie . But this next one , it ’s not a remake of Evil Dead 2 . It ’s something completely young and dissimilar . I ’m so frantic to see where that ’s going to go .

Here are three more abbreviated fibre profiles for Adrianne Palicki ’s Lady Jaye , D.J. Cotrona ’s Flint , and Channing Tatum ’s riposte reference Duke , who is thought to have just a cameo in the sequel .

Michael Bay ’s latest Transformers movie — which I ’m increasingly defeated has n’t been renamed Trans4mers , because seemingly some things are just too perfect for this Earth — will be darker and grittier than what came before . At least , that ’s the logical implication from new genius Mark Wahlberg ’s reply when asked if the photographic film will indeed be dark and spunky :
“ Yeah … I do n’t need to get fired before I get started , but you ’re on the right track ! ”
For those who were inquire about the all - important question , “ How does Josh Duhamel equip into this ? ” — a interrogation that future scholars will one day ask about all the key events of the 21st century — Josh Duhamel himself has the result :

“ [ Michael ] say he want to put me in it someplace . I do n’t be intimate if he was just saying that because he had me on the phone and he find obligated or what , but you have it off what ? I flummox to do three of those . It change my career , it commute my life induce to be a part of something that liberal , so I ’m grateful for even doing the first three of them . ”

Skyfall Colorado - writer John Logan hash out what he would care to build on if he works on the next motion picture ’s book :
Fleming ’s bravery in showing Bond ’s concern and vulnerability and Great Depression was really interesting and something that a modern hearing can live with . I think Skyfall demonstrated that they want more layers to that fictitious character . And those are the layers that Fleming publish .

There ’s a great audience over atColliderwith the entire cast and creative team . It ’s well deserving reading the whole affair , but permit ’s lean through some quick highlights , start with executive producer Marc Guggenheim ’s preview of the rest of the season :

It go big and bigger . instalment 17 basically notice the third and final chapter of our saga , so from 17 to 23 , we ’re just on rails , going swell guns to the time of year finis . Each episode will build on the installment prior to it , and it will get big and heavy , not just in terms of scope , but also emotionally . There will be a lot of big emotional thing that happen , in the aftermath of Tommy discovering that Oliver is The Arrow . We ’re going to start , in Episode 18 , paying off all the mythology that we ’ve been laying in since Episode 2 . bounteous Revelation will start coming at the audience , passably fast and furiously , and that ’s going to be the rocket fuel that just propels us to the ending .
Fellow executive manufacturer Andrew Kreisberg offers some more specific details about what ’s ahead on the island and in Starling City :
Both stories have a large bad and an arc for the time of year . What ’s always exciting about the island is that we know , from the fender , that Oliver survives the island . What ’s interesting is that you do n’t know what ’s happened to anyone else . You do n’t know what happens to Slade Wilson . You do n’t be intimate what materialise to Shadow . You do n’t jazz what happens to Yao Fei . You do n’t eff what happens to Fyers . So , watching how that ’s all go to play out is really exciting . And then , in the present - day account , obviously there ’s the plot with The Undertaking and what that ’s going to mean , the complication of Tommy finding out Oliver ’s closed book , and how Roy Harper plays into thing . We ’ve contrive a mint of plates up in the air , but we have an idea about how to catch them all . We ’re really worked up because it feels like everything we ’ve been doing has been this slow burn , building up to this big climax .

And here ’s third executive producer Greg Berlanti and Guggenheim on how the first time of year finale will provide the foundation for the second season :
Berlanti : Absolutely ! There will be a pile of question . I ’m not a fan of affair being pure cliffhanger - y , personally . I think you want the good sense of satisfaction and of , “ Wow , I determine a plot line that really had a beginning , middle and end . ” But within that , we ’re set up up a lot of stuff for next yr .
Guggenheim : What we are doing is striving to have a close that both gives you a sense of closure that you ’ve finished a chapter , but at the same clock time , leaves you with enough petty cliffhangers and nuggets that it make you tip in and go , “ God , I ca n’t wait to see Season 2 ! ” And we ’ve already commence blab out about Season 2 in the writer elbow room . We have very clear thought about what Oliver ’s worked up arc for the season is rifle to be , and how the finale is pass away to bear upon him , both as Oliver Queen and as The Arrow . That ’s really the big affair for us . The finale will be the end of a chapter , but you ’ll reckon at Season 2 and go , “ Oh , that all originate because of the outcome of the finis . ” The finale kicks everything off .

rejoin actress Frances Conroy say she will have an expanded role in the third season :
“ It ’s go to take up up again in July or August in New Orleans , I ’ll be part that and will have a fairly material part in it . I ’ll be in 10 of the installment of what I think will be a 13 - part time of year . That will be interesting to see what ’s write , the writers are so proficient and I ca n’t look to see where it goes . “ I know there ’s been a little bit of comb-out [ about a witchcraft storyline ] , they ’re trying to keep it all hush hush so there are surprise . I ’m concerned in seeing what earth we ’ll inhabit . ”
