We all know the narrative . For yr 20th Century Fox , the controller of the rights to all Marvel X - Men properties , was too worried to make the R - rated Deadpool . They did n’t call back something that raunchy or violent could act upon in the superhero genre . Then , at long last , after years of saying “ No , ” they in conclusion say “ Yes”—and $ 780 million later , they ’re happy they did .
But it seems that even after make the right decision with Deadpool , they were equally conservative about the new Wolverine film , Logan .

But we stray .
It is very clear , though , that the studio was apprehensive about the intense tone of the film . And who could charge them ? There is n’t exactly a manakin for a more run aground , almost post - superhero film about a military man and a untried girl . If the film was a bunch of cursing and dick jokes like Deadpool , it probably would have been okayed immediately . But on newspaper , Logan sound like a jeopardy . Some trepidation should be expected when you are adventure one C of 1000000 of dollars on something new .
Still , the takeaway here is twofold . One , Snider is being good . A studio head does n’t have to give the public a glimpse into his or her mentation process , especially when the movie ends up getting made anyway . And that ’s the second part of it : the studio apartment made the picture , and is daring to take a risk with one of its most worthful assets . On March 3 , hopefully , that pay off .
