Unlike the first high-pitched definition DirecTV DVR , this one is n’t power by TiVo . That make us pitiful . But the HDMI - quick , 250Gig corner does have some nice features , like the ability to scan 8 fun duct on one sieve ( something they like to call Sports Mix ) . If you ’re quick to plonk down your deferred payment card , beware — some rather introductory functions have been turned off by DirecTV . Earl observe that the ATSC over the aviation HD tuners are in the box , but they ’ve been disabled by DirecTV . That means many people wo n’t be able to watch local HD channels . Boo ! They do project to enable them , but we ’ll wait til we see it live before we give them the golf game gonorrhoea .
