Somehow , this week ’s episode of Haven managed to feature a ego - disembowelment and a child who falls just a bit timid of being able to send people to the cornfield , and neither of those things were the creepiest part of the installment . No , that is appropriate for the Bolt - Gun Killer , whose grotesque Trouble has finally been revealed . Spoilers before .
This week ’s Trouble pops up when two men fly out of a avant-garde and seemingly chase each other into the Wood . The problem is that they leave behind their other passenger , a young young woman name Ginger Danvers . Audrey takes her to the police place , where Dr. Claire sample and fails to blarney information from her . “ I ’m not a small fry psychologist , ” she says lamely .
intermission here . Am I making this up or does n’t Dr. Claire have some reasonably young patients ? Or is this supposed to be a sign that Dr. Claire is n’t who she says she is ? More on this later .
Anyway , the only one who can pry a smile out of Ginger is Duke , who plank down on the sofa next to her and bulge jovially making demands on her behalf . “ You ’ve got rights , kid , ” he tells her . Audrey and Claire decide to leave Duke on babysitting obligation , and before long he ’s sneaking her out to get ice cream . Duke ’s having a sublime time playing the fun uncle justly up until Ginger vanishes , nobble by a member of the Guard . She speedily escapes , with the Guard extremity and Jordan tail after her , and she screams at the man , “ I detest your intestine ! ” At that minute , the Guardsman decides he detest his catgut , too , and stabs himself right in the intestine .
Nathan and Audrey arrive on the grisly scene , and Audrey deduces Ginger ’s Trouble : people have to do whatever she tells them to do . She calls Duke , thinking Ginger might be with him . She is , but she quietly recount him not to say anything . Goofily , he parrot the give-and-take to Audrey , telegraph that he ’s with Ginger . By the time Audrey happen him , Ginger has convert him to play pirate on the upstairs rail of the Grey Gull . He loses his symmetry and falls off the railing to the deck of cards below , miraculously go bad to break his neck .
Ginger explain to Audrey that her forefather settle to move her to Haven after her mother choke ( and likely when her Trouble began ) . She vex that her father does n’t like her any longer , and back in the van she told him to get away from her and leave her alone . Hence the spry expiration . She also describes her second kidnapper , whom Nathan and Audrey immediately realize is Jordan . Jordan actually manages to snatch Ginger a 2nd time ( good job , Haven PD ) by secernate her she ’s conduct her to see her dad . After a picayune Trouble - heighten interrogation , Jordan bring out that the Guard wanted Ginger brought to Haven as an insurance insurance . The way of life the Troubles body of work is that the barn appears , Audrey steps inside , they both disappear , and the Troubles end . The Guard was design to keep Ginger on mitt in case Audrey would n’t go into the barn willingly . Oh , and they ’ve been holding Ginger ’s papa surety . Father and child are reunited , Ginger feels loved , and her worry is officially under controller . A nice , strong A - plot that manages to connect to the larger mythology .
But the B - game , that ’s where the real meat is . At the beginning of the episode , a piece retrieve a burn body lay to rest in a shallow grave in the woods . After a quick poring over of the poor familiar ’s dentition , the coroner discover the victim : Detective Tommy Bowen .
Cue the striking medicine .
The coroner also found some unusual rope fiber in the real Bowen ’s lungs , and Audrey looks up data on all the manufacturers and notice an electricity spike at one of the deftness . Once the hassle of the hebdomad has been wrapped up , she and Nathan point down to the abandoned factory …
… and discover fishtanks fill with human skins . give thanks you , Haven , for giving us the ultra - creepy-crawly moment we deserved .
My theory ? The Bolt - Gun Killer is Alma , married woman of the Colorado Kid . She ’s down womanhood in lodge to make a new cutis , which she ’ll put on just as the Troubles are terminate . I ’m not certain how it fits in with the fake Bowen ’s title that he had lot of memories of the Teagues ’ sportfishing cabin , but that ’s where my brain is going now . Any other theories out there , family line ?
Also , when ’s the last time we saw Bowen and Dr. Claire in the same way ? Halloween ?
