Hitachi has just withdraw 16,000 lithium - ion laptop computer batteries due to potential overheating job ( Japan models only ) . The batteries , as in otherrecent recalls , are cook up by Sony . We wonder if there are really documented problems with the latest recalls ( “ boomies ” ) , or if companies are just leaning severely on Sony , threatening to pull out future purchases if their old battery are not replace .
