Nick Viall Reveals Hope His Special Forces Experience Will ‘Help Toughen Me Up’ for Fatherhood

Nick Viallis thinking about what it’s going to take to be a dad for the first time.

In an exclusive clip from an upcoming episode ofSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Test, theBacheloralum, 42, opened up about his unlikely participation in the physically and mentally demanding competitive reality show.

“Probably definitely should not be here. There’s nothing about what I’m doing now that suggests I’m going to do well in this kind of environment,” he acknowledged.

“But I recently found out that I’m going to be a dad, which is incredible. I want to know if it has what it takes to rise to the occasion and I think this experience will shape me and help toughen me up.”

Sharing a video of Viall popping a black balloon that released pink confetti and pink balloons throughout the room, he wrapped his arms around Joy, who laughed and leaned into him.

The couple, who got engaged in January,first announced their pregnancy news in August.

Sharing a joint carousel of photos totheir Instagrams, Viall and Joy posed together with the former Bachelor reaching his arms around and cradling his fianceé’s bump. “Our biggest dream came true 🤍,” they captioned the post.

The pairspoke to PEOPLE exclusively in August about how Joy told Viall she was pregnantduring their daily dinner routine.
