“Theshower was such a special daybecause it made it all feel real for me. I pinch myself when I think about holding my little boy in my arms,” Holt tells PEOPLE. “It was really wonderful to have my family and friends together, many of whom had traveled a long way to be there.”

The elegant fête featured a set of large blue balloons reading “OH BOY,” as well as delicious-looking fruit and vegetable spreads for guests to nosh on.
Instead of showering the pregnant star with gifts, all guests were askedto bring children’s books. However, there was one traditional shower element that did make its way into Holt’s special day: a delicious blue cake.
To thank her guests for coming, Holt gifted friends and family members with theAva bracelet, which helps track ovulation. Along with the bracelets were a variety of Ava cookies, some of which sweetly read, “Congrats Claire!”
“Special thanks to@avawomenfor gifting my girls with the Ava Bracelet!” she added. “Hopefully we’ll be throwing a few more showers in the near future.”
Reflecting on her miscarriage, the actress wrote, “You never forget the deep pain of loss. It dims with time but it informs many of your experiences.”
One month later, the star revealedthat she is having a boy, which was a big surprise to her!
