ScandalstarKatie Lowesgave PEOPLE an exclusive a look inside her recent getaway to theCasa de Campo Resort & Villasin La Romana, Dominican Republic. She attended the trip with a few of her famous friends and former costars includingBellamy Young(who starred as Mellie Grant onScandal),Marika Domińczyk(who has guested onInventing AnnaandGrey’s Anatomy, and is married toScandal’sScott Foley) and of course,ScandalcreatorShonda Rhimes.

“These two get up at the crack of dawn to play golf every morning! Casa del Campo has some of the best golfing in the world and they take full advantage. While I take full advantage of SLEEPING IN,” Lowes recalled of Rhimes and Dominczyk.

Yes, I ran down to the stage of the famous amphitheater and recited my college Shakespeare monologue :)," Lowes wrote.The ladies didn’t have to leave the resort to visit a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village in the heart of the Dominican countryside.Altos de Chavónis also home to the Altos de Chavón School of Design, which is affiliated with the Parsons School of Design in New York.

“Touring around the STUNNING Altos de Chavón. Yes, I ran down to the stage of the famous amphitheater and recited my college Shakespeare monologue :),” Lowes wrote.
The ladies didn’t have to leave the resort to visit a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village in the heart of the Dominican countryside.Altos de Chavónis also home to the Altos de Chavón School of Design, which is affiliated with the Parsons School of Design in New York.
