TheMcRibis making a comeback — again.
After the famous sandwich – consisting of boneless pork slathered in barbecue sauce and topped with slivered onions and dill pickles on a hoagie-style bun –went on a “McRib Farewell Tour” last October, thefast foodchain has decided to bring the beloved menu item back for a limited time only.
The brand confirmed that the limited edition menu item will only be available in select stores, saying, “while it won’t be available nationwide, some lucky fans may find their favorite elusive saucy sandwich at their local McDonald’s restaurants this November.”

It rose to prominence in the summer of 1994, when the pork sandwich was brought back to McDonald’s menus in honor of the theatrical release of the live-actionFlintstonesfilm starringJohn Goodman,Elizabeth Perkins,Rick MoranisandRosie O’Donnell.
The McRib earned a permanent spot on the menu for the remainder of the ’90s and into the early-2000s before being pulled from the chain’s offerings.
McDonald’s held its first McRib Farewell Tour in 2005, but continued to offer the sandwich every year during a different tour for the following three years.

The McRib went on a short hiatus before the brand brought the sandwich back once again for a limited-time before disappearing from menus in 2012.
Eight years later,in Dec. 2020, the chain brought the sandwich back, kicking off the McRib’s multi-year journey to bid customers adieu.
The sandwich came back to storesto celebrate its 40th anniversary in Nov. 2021, and went on its most recent “Farewell Tour” in November 2022.
