Zoey 101was an instant hit when it premiered in 2005. The show followed the life of Zoey (Jamie Lynn Spears) as she learned to navigate through typical teen drama after enrolling in Pacific Coast Academy, a previously all-boys boarding school. The show ran for four seasons, and wrapped in 2008. In the years since,Nickelodeon has cut ties with controversial creator Dan Schneiderand much of the cast has gone on to establish successful careers.
“It’s like I have to pinch myself because it’s something we’ve worked on really hard for years to get, being patient to make sure it’s right, putting the right things in place. And then it’s like a dream come true,” she told the outlet. “It’s this thing you’ve been talking about and working on and trying to bring to life.”
She added: “The first day I walked on set, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we really did it. We’re here, we’re doing it,’ so it is surreal.”
And reuniting with her old casemates, she said, was like a return to “our high school.”
“We grew up together and getting to do this again, we were crying when we wrapped because it felt so fulfilling,” she recalled. “But also, just one of those experiences that I don’t think you could ever recreate. But we got to do that.”
