Meri Brownknew just what she was looking for in her next partner afterKody Brown.
Before going public withher new relationship with boyfriend Amos, the 53-year-oldSister Wivesstar told PEOPLE about what’s most important to her regarding a new love interest.
“Laughter — snort laughter,” she said. “I mean, you got to do that — but also be able to have real conversations and honest conversations.”
Meri also noted she was “super excited” about the next chapter in her life.
“I am. I’m really excited about it,” she explained. “There’s a lot of things that are still unknown, and that’s OK. And I have to tell myself often that that’s OK, that things are unknown. Because I do believe that they will come to me at the time that they’re meant to come to me, but I also have a lot of control, a lot of things that I can control, and I’m really excited for those things.”

In January of last year, Meri and Kody jointly announced theirseparationon Instagram. The breakup news followedChristine Brown’s decision to leave Kody in 2021 andJanelle Brown’s decision to leave in 2022.
Meriunveiled her new relationship with Amoswhile recently celebratingher 53rd birthday, saying he is “the good looking guy I’ve been dating since October.”
“He’s not 6 foot 6, nor is he a pilot, but he loves Christmas almost as much as I do, and we laugh a lot together, both of which are important elements to a relationship,” she wrote onInstagram. “Also, [my dog] Zona absolutely loves him (be sure to swipe to see the cutest picture!)”
Meri then gushed about Amos onInstagram Live, sharingall the “things that he does” that bring a smile to her face. The reality star added that the pair are “happy” and “like each other a lot.”
